This is a story of ubuntu, botho, humanity and a family built on warmth, empathy and kindness, the Chief head has a strong background in Customer services, Project management and Teams management.
That’s what drives the company’s motto to strive for excellence and a seamless customer service experience, our teams consist of young energetic financial and administrative heads, with a more subtle and mature customer experience team.
Impilo entered the market with a robust and disruptive approach in the group scheme underwriting space and family funeral space, surpassing expectations and forging a way into becoming a force in the industry, although most plans halted by the challenges and effects on Covid 19 and now the ever-Consistent Loadshedding, we are steadfast in our set long term goals and drive to becoming a leading black owned insurance company.
Our Chief Head runs this modest team with an iron fist. Dared to exist and bold enough to shake the table. We are one of the fastest growing funeral policy schemes in SA, we are constantly looking for ways to better the service and experience for our community and stake holders, our policies are affordable, direct and intentional, so is our target market.
The launch of this Business was inspired by the incidences happening in the industry were people who are considered to be in the lower income bracket are treated as second class citizens when it comes to service and priority, they are not communicated to in the language they can understand, they are frustrated by the service providers due to disconnect in communication channels, some were ghosted and ignored to the point they feel the need to go into extreme actions to get the attention of the service providers. We wanted to build a Business that is motivated by customer experience, passionate about people, in touch with society and community challenges, we are of the believe that empathy is key in dealing with customers I distress and that is the kinds of people we are servicing.
